Tehran's popular football team Esteqlal has been defeated against Saba Battery in the sixth week of the Iranian Premier League (IPL).

Saba Battery gained a 3-1 victory over the Blues before 15,000 spectators in Qom's Yadegar-e Emam Stadium on Friday night.
Saba Battery's Sheis Rezaei scored the opener in the 24th minute and Siavash Akbarpour equalized the score in the 56th.
Adel Kolahkaj retook the lead in the 70th minute. Esteqlal pushed forward but their hopes were shattered when Feridoun Fazli's stoppage time goal sealed the 3-1 victory for the host under new coach Firouz Karimi.
The defeat dropped Esteqlal, coached by Amir Qalenoie, to 17th place in the IPL table with 4 points out of 5 games, while Saba Battery is in the 13th spot.
